An ia is 24. She has been dancing since she was 6-year old girl. It all started with ballet classes, then modern jazz and other forms of dancing. She was studying in Ognisko Baletowe in Lublin, took part in many different workshops, appeared on many Polish scenes (for example: Poznań Biennale, Bytom modern dance workshops). She has been interested in modern dance, classic ballet, jazz...etc. and for 12 years were developing her skills as a dancer. And that helped her to adopt salsa steps very easily. Her first experience with salsa was in Berlin in the Havana Club. She was amazed by this very climatic and vivid dance and begun being interested not only in salsa but in the Cuban culture, music and history as well. Her first teachers were such salsa superstars like Frankie Martinez, Orville Small, Grizelle Ponce, Eddie Torres, Nancy Ortiz, Burju Hurtuk or Juan Matos and many more from Europe, like: Rafael Munoz - Mexico/Monachium, Mimo - Mexico/Monachium, Neeraj Maskara - India/Geneve). Trying to use their knowledge and talent, she manage to create her own style.

"From the first second I saw her dance salsa I knew that this girl was something special. When I later discovered that she had been dancing ballet for fourteen years, I remember thinking ... "of course"! ... For some reasons ballet is a perfect base for salsa dancing ... I guess for all dancing.
Anna Chagowska must be one of the most talented girls in the salsa scene in Europe right know."
Henrik Normann - Salsa Instructor from Denmark
"This past May (2001) while teaching some workshops in Warsaw, I met a young woman named Anna Chagowska. After dancing with her a handful of times, I became quickly impressed with her dancing. She told me she had not been dancing salsa for very long, and I sensed a very large potential in her to become a great salsera. She would need time to develop and refine her skills, but now that time has passed, I am very curious now to take another spin with her on the dance floor!"
Eric "El Cubanito" Freeman - Salsa Instructor from USA
